It may have come to your attention that England are in the rugby World Cup Final on Saturday morning!

Given how huge this is (although in starting to take it for granted with the cricket as well – the footballers need to step up!), we will start training later on Saturday.

U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s and U11s will all start training at 11:45. The U12/13 squad has an away fixture; Christian will be in touch separately about this.

Many thanks in advance for your understanding; we don’t like to mess around with your arrangements, but we were forecasting very low attendance without this adjustment. Hopefully this will give you a chance to take part in an epic sporting event that your child will remember fondly forever. As well as watching the Rugby World Cup Final 😉

Why not come along and see us at one of these matches – 28th September away against Hempsted or 12th October at home against Charfield Res. We’d love to see you there cheering us on! Kick off for the First XI is usually in the afternoon.

Chris, our new chairman, has a key priority for the 2019-20 season to make our pavilion a club facility that we can be proud of. This will be a long term project, and we have the support of Shipton Moyne council as we move forward on this journey.

Next Saturday, 28th September, we are looking for volunteers to help us clear, prepare and decorate the internal spaces. We will start at nine o’clock, and run in parallel with training. We hope we can wrap up around lunchtime. We will be having a barbecue for our willing helpers to keep you going!

We will supply paint and cleaning products. If you are able to help, and can bring the following, that would be great:

Rollers, Paint brushes , Dust sheets, Paint trays, Filler, Sandpaper, Goggles and gloves, etc., Basic tools (screwdrivers, etc.)
